About Antoinette Gomes:

Antoinette Gomes (she/her/hers) is a small business owner in Providence, Rhode Island where she and her partner operate a third-generation family enterprise.

Antoinette joins AWE after previously serving as a higher educational professional over the course of three decades which culminated in her position as director of the Unity Center in the division for Community, Equity, and Diversity at Rhode Island College (RIC). She received the Presidential Medal honoring her service to the college and collaborated with the RIC Foundation to establish the Unity Center Campus Fund designed to support the ongoing work of diversity, inclusion, and equity by fostering a community of dialogue, understanding, and action. She is a founding director of the Southside Elementary School Charter School in Providence and a proud graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
